Life’s Certainties-Death and Taxes
It recently came to my attention that South Dakota has
passed a pro-life law to ban abortions. This is wonderful
news for all of us who believe in pro-life. But, then it is
discouraging that at the same time their governor also
signed a bill to counteract this law and Planned Parenthood
has announced their plans to defeat this law either through
court action or by a statewide ballot initiative. Did you know
that Planned Parenthood will most likely spend hundreds of
thousands of dollars, perhaps even millions to defeat this
bill? What do they hope to gain by this? Is it that they are
playing gods? Shouldn’t we let this job be left to the One and
only God? After all, isn’t He the One Who is in control of
everything?
“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness of it, the world and
they who dwell in it.” Ps. 24:1
It’s a sad fact that our tax dollars are being used to fund
these programs. Whether we like it or not or even know it or
not, our tax dollars are supporting the nation’s largest
abortion provider. Even worse is that Planned Parenthood
has spent millions of dollars on public policy expendatures
in fighting lawsuits, legislations and other efforts that are
opposed to abortion.
As Christians, why are we sitting back and allowing this to
happen? This horrendous act is abhorant to the Lord. Are
we compromising His Word if we just ignore and turn our
backs on this issue?
If God had intended for abortions then why did He tell Adam
and Eve to be “fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth”?
Let’s go back to God’s Word in Jeremiah. When God tells us
something, He means it. It’s not for us to take it and change
it or switch things around to suit ourselves. God is holy and
righteous and He tells us to be the same. Abortion,
particularly those late term partial birth abortions are nothing
short of cold blooded murder. I’m almost positive God didn’t
give us the supremecy to take a baby’s life from the womb.
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before
thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I
ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jer. 1:5
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should
walk in them.” Eph. 2:10
All of us may have come as a surprise to our parents, but
God already knew us. We are each and every one of us an
integral part of His grand purpose in the earth. So much so
that He foreknew us and He raised us up for a specific time
in history.
“…and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom
for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
If God has already foreordained us, don’t you believe that we
have another purpose to fulfill? As this verse in Esther says,
who knew that she was brought to that place at that time so
she could save the history of the Israelites. Now of course if
Esther wasn’t willing to be in the will of God, He still would
have used someone else. But the fact remains, that was her
destiny to fulfill. Don’t you believe that you were put here for
a reason? What makes us think then that these unborn
babies are disposable and won’t be missed? What if Jesus’
mother were not willing to do God’s will? Jesus still would
have been born, but Mary was the chosen one for such a
time as this. God had already foreordained her for this
purpose. Who are we to throw away the destinies of these
babies? As God’s children we are to have compassion for
those in need. These little children don’t have a voice yet.
Let’s be that voice!
Abortion has another face also. It affects the mother who
later has extreme feelings of guilt and loss. Her destiny is
also being altered because of this extreme act of sin. The
most deadly sins don’t leap upon us, but they creep up on
us. Maybe at the time she felt she had no choice. Perhaps
she was unwed, a young teenager, maybe even sexually
assaulted and felt it was her duty to dispose of this
unwanted pregnancy. God will deal with people about their
sins and sometimes it hurts more than the sin itself. Guilt is
a terrible thing to carry around. Unless you can come to God
and get on your face and ask Him to forgive you, this
haunting feeling will never go away. Unless those of us who
know God’s Word can witness to these hurting people, they
may never receive God’s grace for forgiveness in their lives.
Who is benefiting from this disobedience? Satan! We need
to become aware of his game plan.
I can’t express it enough but Satan is our very real adversary.
I’ve written this many times but it is worth repeating. John
10:10 tells us that the thief comes to kill, to steal and
destroy. It’s his life long plan to destroy God’s plan for us. If
we keep giving into his lies by destroying innocent babies,
we are pawns in his chess game. God’s plan will go ahead
in another way, but why do we choose to let these things
transpire if we know better?
I’m speaking to all you born again, saved Christians who
know without a doubt that you have been chosen for such a
time as this to stand up and do your part to stop these
killings. There are other alternatives to abortion. Adoption is
a great way to allow a child to have what God foreordained
him to have. It’s also a wonderful gift for couples who can’t
have their own child. We need to be PRO life and let God
take control!

please look up Family Fellowship on your search engine

game. Get on their weekly mailings to get the facts on
what’s really happening in your world. Let your voice be
heard.
God gives us all a free will to choose right or wrong. He said
He would rather we choose life. Let’s help these unborn
children gain the right to their lives also. Each one is
precious and was conceived for a reason. Who are we to
play god?
To speak against this abortion law is to show love for your
neighbor. This is God’s second commandment. Don’t you
honesty believe that God will bless you? After all, it was
Jesus who said “what you did to the least of these, you did
to Me.” Do you want this guilt on your hands come
judgement day? Won’t you get involved and pray about this
today?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Let Your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. May
Your power and glory be seen as You defeat this abortion
law in South Dakota. Father, You are the maker of heaven
and earth, it all belongs to You and may we be Your faithful
servants in spreading You wonderful truth to those who
haven’t heard it. May we be a blessing to bless others today.
In Your Son Jesus’ Name, Amen
Your support in today’s issues may not seem like alot by
itself, but your little is a lot when you give your all.
