Baby Bath Set up

Fist of all you need to make sure that you have all the necessary equipment ands supplies. The most important thing to have is of coarse somewhere to bathe the baby. A baby tub, or a sink is what most people use. I have seen people use a rotating pan. A small bucket, or cup to poor water over the baby. Some baby soap or baby, no tear shampoo. A few wash cloths. Some towels or a hooded towel to wrap the baby with when you are through.

Now pick your bathing spots. The easiest place to bathe the baby is in the kitchen sink. Lots of parents actual put the baby right in the sink. My sink is pretty dirty, so I wouldn’t think of putting my kid in there, but to each his own. Most baby tubs that they sell now, have a way to dock right into the sink. This will give you the most comfortable place to bathe the baby, as the height is just right for your and the baby can be right next to the water source. The hose type fittings on the faucet are a perfect way to rise off the baby. Just make sure that you are constantly monitoring the temperature of the water, and have the faucet facing away from the baby at all times.

On the Floor- Sometimes, at first lots of us new dads will not feel comfortable having the baby way up on the counter. That’s ok, just put the baby tub on the floor until you are comfortable with bathing, and confidant that you wont drop the little slimy baby on the floor. Just make sure that you put some kind of waterproof lining, like a shower curtain down, before you put the tub on the floor. You will get wet. And this will eventually hurt your back. Not the most comfortable position to was the baby in.

Baby Tub, in the Big Tub- This is the easiest way…for the baby to get a bath, and it doest matter if the water splashes everywhere. But, again, it will hurt your back.

With you in the Big Tub- Lots of times the babies wont like the whom like presences of the baby bath, and would like to be in the big tub. But you will have to go in too. This is an advanced maneuvered and you must master the other techniques first.
